Are you taking advantage of the cosmic energy this year? I know, I am! After three years of a bunch of “ugh”, I am enjoying the ride. And, like January, February is easy, breezy, beautiful – okay, it’s not Covergirl, but you get the point.

In February, we enter Pisces season. Now, there is a lot of confusion surrounding the sign of Pisces, and it ranges from spiritual ecstasy to alcoholic stupors. The point is that after being confronted with the realities of the real world in Capricorn season, and the landscape of group speak in Aquarius, Pisces urges us to seek something more meaningful.

My favorite quote from the Matrix Revolutions is, “Everything that has a beginning, has an end (The Oracle).” Well, the end is here! Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac and completes a cycle that began last March. Pisces reflects the process of going inwards after eleven months of experiencing the outer world and preparing to begin that process again once the Sun moves into Aries. Most magical practitioners know how to work with the cycles of the Moon, but for those who are not, let's explain the waning Moon. As the Moon fades away, it is best to do magic that involves letting things go, doing release work, healing, and bringing things to a conclusion. Similarly, we are given a larger window to work on these issues during Pisces season. Now, this type of work shouldn’t be done haphazardly. Instead, it should be done with careful thought and consideration. You know, that, be careful of what you wish for thing.

5 Ways to Get the Most Out of Pisces Season 

1.  Water Magic:  Have you ever drank tea for a particular effect? Whether you drank the tea to calm down, sleep, feel better, or for an energy boost, you were doing passive water magic. Let's face it; water is the source of life. We need it to survive biologically. So, of course, during Pisces season, you should increase your water intake for its healing properties. You can also create potions, brews, and enchant skincare products.

2.  Healing:  Pisces is one of the signs (the other is Virgo) associated with doctors, nurses, and the health profession, so naturally, we should use Pisces season to improve our health. You can do this through diet and exercise, detoxing, meditation, spiritual connection, acupuncture/acupressure, alternative or holistic medicine, or a trip to your doctor for a checkup. If you already have a health condition, this is an auspicious time to improve your overall well-being.

3.  Dreams:  During Pisces season, our dreams are often enhanced and prolific. If you have never done dreamwork before, this is a great time to go out and buy a journal and begin. The easiest way to start is by jotting down anything you remember right after you get up in the morning. Dreams come in cycles, and they often reveal potential issues working their way from the unconscious to our conscious minds. We can then begin to work on these issues proactively. Dreams can also be precognitive, so pay close attention to what they tell you. There are several dream resources on the internet, and you can always pick up the book "Inner Works" by Robert Johnson.

4.  Ancestral Magic: The sign of Pisces is connected to the collective unconscious, a deep reservoir of the dreams, aspirations, and intentions of prior generations. We can tap into our ancestor's energy to create change in our lives and put them to work to help carve out the future we desire. We can also use this energy to heal problems with deceased relatives and eliminate the control and power they hold over us.

Full Moon in Leo 

The Full Moon occurs on February 5th in fiery Leo. The sign of Leo is concerned with our inner purpose (destiny) and personal identity. Since the Full Moon cycle is about letting go of what no longer serves you, this Full Moon is excellent for banishing self-defeating behaviors and everything in your life that doesn’t bring you joy. January 30, 2023 – February 5, 2023

The first week of February is probably the most difficult week of the month, but February follows in January’s footsteps and is pretty decent. 

We start the week off with the Moon moving through communicative Gemini. You will feel more social than you ordinarily do, and you will need to connect with your inner circle. Conversations and ideas will be important to you, and may ultimately help resolve any issues or concerns that you currently have in your life. 

On Wednesday, the Moon moves out of the sign of the twins and into emotional Cancer. The middle of the week is perfect for a little downtime. You will feel more at ease with things that provide you comfort and bring you peace and serenity. So, get out a great recipe and a comfy blanket, and enjoy! 

Trouble is brewing this weekend, starting on Friday, when the Sun forms a difficult square to Uranus in Taurus. Expect the unexpected, and sudden changes or disruptions in your life may rattle your cage. You may feel restless and bored with your everyday routine, and crave some excitement in your life. However, be careful, because the Sun square Uranus is accident-prone. Then, on Saturday, Venus tangles with Mars. You may experience tensions in your relationship or notice that people are getting on your last nerve. Avoid letting your emotions take control because this could lead to potential arguments. On Sunday, expect the crazy to be at max levels as the Full Moon occurs in dramatic Leo.

February 6, 2023 – February 12, 2023

The cosmic energies settle down for the second week of February. However, it’s not a week for heavy lifting, because the bulk of the aspects reflects the need to look at our inner world and the things in our lives that truly make life worth living. 

We start the week off with Mercury in Capricorn forming a sextile to Neptune in Pisces. You may feel more receptive to the emotions and needs of others and will find it easy to relate to their current concerns. Your senses will be supercharged, and you need to rely more on your intuition than rational thought. If you need to work on creative projects, now is the time. 

Towards the middle of the week, you will crave excitement as Venus sextiles Uranus in Taurus. Your daily routine may feel stale and boring, and you need to find activities that inspire you. New friends and connections that you make while Venus sextiles Uranus will push you to be the best version of yourself that you can be. 

This weekend, we dive into deep waters as Mercury conjoins Pluto in Capricorn. You will focus on intense matters and are willing to dig deep to find solutions to your problems. However, be mindful of what you say, because you may experience opposition from others. On Saturday, Mercury moves out of Capricorn and into Aquarius. It’s time to look at the big picture, rather than the momentary problems you are experiencing today. Reach for the stars, you might just grab one.

February 13, 2023 – February 19, 2023 

Storm clouds roll in at the beginning of the week as the Moon moves through Scorpio and forms a frustrating square to Saturn in Aquarius. You may go through feelings of self-doubt, and your insecurities may be triggered. The good news is that the clouds part on Tuesday, and the Sun again rises when the Sun moves into Jovial Sagittarius. You will find your mood will improve, and you will have a more optimistic view of your life. 

The middle of the week brings us a pair of conflicting aspects, as Venus conjoins Neptune in Pisces and the Sun conjoins Saturn in Aquarius. Wednesday, it’s a great day to focus on your relationships, because the spirit of Valentine’s Day will still be in the air. Romance will be set on high, and it’s an excellent time to connect with your partner – in every sense of the word. However, on Thursday, it’s time to return to reality and focus on tasks that need completion when the Sun conjoins Saturn. The Sun conjunct Saturn also favors job promotions and career advancement. 

This weekend, Mercury forms an opportunistic sextile to Jupiter, just before the beginning of Pisces season officially begins. It’s an auspicious time to look at the big picture and make plans for the future. Friday is also the perfect time for negotiations and transactions because Mercury sextile Jupiter is favorable in business matters. Finally, this weekend, Venus sextiles Pluto in Capricorn. Venus sextile Pluto is an ideal time to look at your relationships and take personal inventory. How are your emotions and behaviors influencing your relationship, and what do you need to do to improve them? Although emotional experiences may be strongly felt, you will find they can be transformational.

February 20, 2023 – February 26, 2023 

In addition to the New Moon in Pisces, the final week of February starts with Venus moving out of the sign of the fishes and into Aries. After the sweet romantic reverie of Pisces, things heat up as Venus moves into passionate Aries. You will seek to meet your needs in relationships and will settle for nothing less. Of course, since Aries is a self-focused sign, this could lead to potential conflicts. But, if you aren’t getting what you truly want, what’s the point of it all? On Tuesday, Mercury squares Uranus. You may experience scattered thinking that makes you feel out of sorts. However, you will be fascinated by new ideas that you find stimulating, and ultimately inspired by them. Try not to be overly impulsive. 

The middle of the week brings us Mercury in Aquarius, trine Mars in Gemini. It’s an excellent time to work on mental projects, and you can overcome any obstacles that present themselves. Mercury trine Mars is also time to make your move, especially if you’ve been waiting for the perfect time to start something new. Furthermore, ask for what you want, and you will get results! 

This weekend, things settle down, as the Moon spends most of its time in Taurus. It’s the perfect weekend to relax and enjoy the things you love and bring you pleasure. So, if you’ve been waiting for the perfect time for a cheat meal, the time is now. Enjoy something decadent.
