We were at rock bottom, again, and at the point of giving up. The Motor City Hoo Doo candles came about one day while cleaning, lamenting and relieving stress by making up snaps to make each other laugh. Jacki came back with “Don’t you mess with my Motor City Hoo Doo”. We all stopped and realized something new was just born. It was a moment of magic and Jacki got to work creating and testing her recipes in candle and mojo bag form. After 12 months of positive proof, we were ready to launch. These 21st century versions of traditional recipes were the catalyst to the renaissance of Coventry from scrapping to survive into creating to thrive. Every year for the past 10+ years we share this boon with you in our annual Hoo Doo special.
